Had to go into work at my second job today (Because lying co-workers are the best!) and this was the silver lining to the crazy busy day there. A couple of the cars that are headed to a fairly decent car show tomorrow (I'm headed there as well, pics will follow.) and I got a sneak peak at a couple that will be attending. So lets go back to the late 40's!
Now from what I can tell this is either a 1950 or 1949 DeSoto Custom. It was in pretty great shape for 65 or 64 years old car. Had a big old couch seat in the back with arm rests and the Hernando De Soto hood ornament, plus the hula girl on the dash is always a nice touch. This thing looked great and it was a huge pleasure to see it.
And here we have ourselves a gorgeous 1975 Ford Thunderbird Jade Special Edition and wow, this thing was JADE. I regret not getting a picture of the interior because SO MUCH GREEN VELOUR. It was on everything. This car took green to the next level. Jade seats, steering wheel, jade shag carpet. The exterior paint is called Jade Starfire. Which is fucking awesome.
Ford, if you want to win my heart over a Fiat 500 Abarth, you will make a Jade Edition FiST and I will buy it instantly.
The good news is that both these cars will be at the show tomorrow, so I'm definitely getting a picture of that jade interior.
